About- Get to the Point, Lady

I’m a soon-to-be 34 year old woman living in Southeastern Wisconsin.  I’ve been married to the best husband on Earth for over 13 years.  If you do the math you’ll realize I met my soul mate at a young age, and we got married as soon as we could.  He keeps me grounded while still being encouraging, truthful and supportive.  I love him truly and deeply.

I am also stepmother to a handsome, intelligent, and amazing 16  year old stepson.  I thank God everyday that he is a part of my life.  I’d like to think that I’ve had a little bit to do with the fact that he’s turned out to be such a confident and kind person.  I would never tell him about the things I was doing when I was his age, and I’m not worried about him finding out because he’s way too cool to read this blog.

I also have a 7 year old Labradoodle, Takeo. He is very handsome, very smart, but bores easily:

I also have a new puppy, Kemba.  He’s sort of an a-hole.  But, he’s cute so I’ll keep him:

No, really. I'm a total dickhead.

As a child of the 80s, I am very nostalgic. I remember where I was when I heard that Michael Jackson died.  I graduated from high school in 1995 which means Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Snoop make up the soundtrack of my youth.  I am lucky to have spent my adolescence during the 90s, but I realize I am getting old.  I am.  My stepson’s recent i-Tunes purchases included Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and The Misfits (his dad’s influence) which would be really cool if he didn’t file them in his “Oldies” folder.  All I can say about that is:

I used to walk through six feet of snow to get to school.

Just wait until you have kids of your own, Mister!

I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for those pesky kids.

Many people start blogs as a forum for their knowledge on a specific topic, as a diary of a special time in their life, or just to show off how fabulous they are.  That’s not me.  I just like to talk.

The title of my blog comes from the fact that even the most beautiful people in the world can, if even just for a moment in time, make a really, really ugly face:

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Some of my personal likes include, trashy celebrity gossip magazines that I tend to read in my “office”, even trashier reality television (I’m looking at you Snooki), and finding the perfect SNL skits in everyday situations, and reading “real” books.

Feel free to check out this blog and see what randomness is flowing through my brain on any given day.  I’ll try to narrow it down, but I’m infamous for rambling.

P.S.:  I don’t think that Paris Hilton is beautiful.   This picture just made me laugh a lot.

Just wanted to stop by, and very glad that I did.
Yeah Paris Hilton isn’t that beautiful, but that is one funny picture. What’s more heart clenching than that picture, is that she thinks she’s really beautiful.
Adore your bluntness and even your site’s name, haha.

Welcome to the land of the looney, selfish, self-centered a-hole. If you don’t leave laughing, at least you’ll leave feeling better about yourself. 🙂

Hey. I gave you an award! I’m not sure exactly how to bestow it, but I’m waiting for the award’s creator to get back to me. I know there’s a button you can display if you want. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to award it yourself, but that’s usually how these things work. 🙂

    The original award link:

Thanks! I am going to get this tattooed on my butt cheek where the most people will see it. Is that proper etiquette for these types of things? 🙂

It is a porn star award. If you feel like it, you can pass it on according to Emily’s rules on Porn. She doesn’t mind if you want to link to her site or leave her out of it.

I ended up here after laughing over a comment that you left on someone else’s blog … had to figure that if your comments are laugh-out-loud funny then your blog must be freakin hilarious! I was right!

    • Don't Make That Face June 21, 2011 at 1:24 pm #

Thanks for coming over. You are now dumber for having read my stuff. Just kidding. You’re life is going to totally change, now (no, no it’s not).

I’ve been following Twist365 for a couple of weeks and had to pop over to learn more about DMTF and the person who has John Cusack from Say Anything as their gravatar. (Nice btw.) 🙂 I too graduated in ’95 and omg, our music is already “oldies” to kids today? ugh. I am glad to be finding other bloggers who are just talkers. I’m looking forward to reading more and laughing my butt off. Cheers!

Nice to meet you! Thanks for coming over. If you’re looking for a talker (or an a-hole or a nut or a complete weirdo), you’re in the right place. 🙂

Lloyd Dobler is to remind me not to censor myself. I also thought I was going to marry Lloyd Dobler someday. Not John Cusack. Lloyd Dobler. I was on a mission to find a real life Lloyd.

I’ve been blog-surfing for the past week, trying to find a talker / ranter / actually funny writer. Somehow, I ended up here and I don’t regret it. I tend to ramble, as well. Thanks for the laughs!

    • Don't Make That Face July 26, 2011 at 8:40 am #

      Love the gravatar.
I’m glad you found me. I tend to write how I talk. Can you hear the genius?
      Thanks for subscribing.

P.S. My blog has been described as a black hole that sucks time from the day and leaves absolutely nothing in return. So, basically, it will change your life.
